Karen has always loved experimenting with the concept of arranging items of special interest from yesteryear as well as beloved holiday figures in unique and creative settings.  She started selling her designs at local arts & crafts shows and country clubs.  Karen started her wholesale business, "Karen Didion Originals" in 1995.  Her talent is inherited from her grandmother Crake and she has honored her by calling her designs the Crakewood Collection. She introduced this collection in January 2002. The Crakewood Collection has been featured in Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, Saks Fifth Avenue, major catalogues and speciality gift shops across the United States.

Karen Didion is an artist specializing in "capturing
your memories" with designs focused on the Christmas
season for over 10 years. What humbly began as an
artistic pastime of a registered nurse soon had the
 makings for an aspiring business enterprise.

Karen had many requests to show her creations at
private shows and exclusive country clubs. In 1995, as
a result of the popularity of her work, Karen formed
the business entity of "Karen Didion Originals" and
subsidiary "The Crakewood Collection by Karen
Didion" in 2002.

Karen's collections are currently featured in many
exclusive department stores and specialty shops across
the United States, internationally and on the internet.
Karen resides in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri with her
husband and four children.
